Quite possibly the best purchase I've ever made for my Cougar... Extremely simple installation, and well made. The headlight doors now work flawlessly.The weight exchange is almost identical to all the parts you're able to remove with this kit installed. As an added plus the dyno test I had done says I've gained 7hp from the removal of all the vacuum. I would recommend this for anyone who doe's not have a Concours correct Cougar.
In Dons second electric headlight upgrade video, he mentions the wiring harness being too long. The kit I bought last year still has way too much harness to the left side. He also mentioned he had to remove a jam nut on the actuator rod to get enough adjustment. I had the same issue but cut ¼" off each end to be able to actually use the adjustment range. I also had to "re-clock" the arm on one motor to get the open and close positions the same. Fortunately I restore cars for a living Someone not so skilled may be stumped. On another note, I completely restored all the headlight parts and straightened the grill on my 1967. Since I had the entire front of the car disassembled, I used spreading clamps, not straps like Don did. I would love to be able to share some pics. My grill is STRAIGHT!
This was so simple to install, 3 wires!!!, and the doors operate so smoothly now. Ditch the vacuum!
Easy to install, and I experience no problems with installation. it is very quiet when activated and well worth the $$'s spent.

Don this is great, I saw the new "Electric convertion kit" on Gearz and on the same night I got an E-mail from WCCC showing Darrell putting it on a Cougar. I said to myself, I just had to have one. So the next day I ordered the converton kit and received it within a few days via UPS. I followed Darrell instructional video to the point, It was not hard at all to put on. I did it within an hour and a half and it looks and work great. Thanks Guys Lennel Canty (South Carolina)
Latest and greatest kit. Very well made and a true plug and play wiring kit. Very easy instructions. My headlights and grille really lined up well. If you watch the WCCC video (which is very good BTW) is of the previous kit, take note that the newest kit has most of the connections are on the passenger side. Highly recommend this kit!
I have just completed fitting the electric actuator kit to my 68 Cougar and I am thrilled with the results. I baulked initially at the price, especially with the cost of getting it to Australia but after seeing a perfectly straight grille for the first time ever I am won over. The instructions are well thought out and the video helped a lot. The whole job took about 3 hours.
Easy to install and easy to adjust. Fits perfect. If I manage to install this, every one can. (I have no experiense what so ever..)
Easy to install, the only reason I dinged for craftsmanship is the wiring is crimped in the pins for the connector and one of them came loose. Quick fix by soldering the pin back onto the wire and pushing pin back into the connector. They open nice and smooth and precise. I am Quite happy with is so far.
