Installed easy, used existing holes to bolt up, the relays installed under the horns into existing hole (out of sight when horns reinstalled). Circuit breaker installed under battery tray using existing hole this is also out of sight. .
I recently purchased this and yeah it is very simple to install once you clearly understand the car/specifics to the year, and whether you are installing the electric headlight eyelid cover motors. If you are just installing this kit itself, it is pretty much right out of the box and follow the instructions. They are easy to hide, run the wiring, simple plug in, and then install the connection point near and to the starter solenoid. See pics. In this installation I decided to install the electric eyelid motors also. I installed those first, and then placed the relays where I wanted them and ran the wiring. Then I reconnected my grills (partially moved them for the eyelid motors) and did a quick connect of the oem connection points and the starter solenoid. Here is the one thing I didn't catch but figured out later. When you connect both the relays and the motors you MUST put the relays in connection AFTER the motors or you will see weird stuff like doble blink covers, open and then close eyelids, or in my case open and close and reopen when you hit the high/low beam switch. once i did that all was perfect. no eliminating wires, etc. In my installation I had virgin OEM wiring still in place with all correct connections. Yes, you will see brightness in the headlights, and an unexpected extra...I saw an increase in the brightness of the OEM dash gauges and their oem type blubs.
Very nice item, true plug and play. The gauge of the power wire is definitely big enough. Im sure they made the old sealed beams a bit brighter. I've since replaced the main beams with H4 headlights and feel much better knowing the extra amps aren't running through the headlight switch, plus I can actually see at night. The only bad thing I could say is the supplied plug for the drivers headlight isn't big enough for the gauge of wire. These really can be easily hidden.
This kit should have been a factory standard. The kit is easy to install, no mods to existing wiring is needed. With the kit installed halogen headlamps or a headlight conversion kit can be installed.
Installation was quick and was absent of any problems.
Really thorough and well-thought out kit. More heavy gauge 12V lead than needed, but that sure beats the other way around. Nice workmanship! Two days from the opposite corner of the USA was pretty cool non-premium shipping, too.
