We get complaints all the time how do you get these in the fenders and even though they look like the original Dimensions just the slightest change a little different durometer of rubber makes them much more difficult to put in for original so I say cheat here's how you do it you just take out your utility blade and we're going to slice off about that much just about that much and we're going to go over to this side and we're going to do the same it's that it's just that easy oh I missed a little bit here we'll take another swipe at it don't worry about it getting it perfect that's enough bite for it to stay in place and we're going to go over here and check this out unfortunately the previous owner of this car had a lapse of judgment and he chose to go to my competitor and buy his pieces now do you see a little difference there because this unnamed competitor says Mustang and cougar are the same no Mustang uses too big and two little here's the little here's the big cougar uses four big so just keep in mind you can't always believe what you read on the internet unless it comes from us and then even sometimes you got to question it so we got to dig these out if you could tell look at that that person never got that in right whoever put this in it was only half in you see that crease there they just gave up and said good enough so that was a fail but then you just get in here and a little soapy water or Windex something in there will make your life easier and you just get in there and you start my lighting is bad here but you just start working it in and you be patient because if you're not patient you'll scratch your paint and it always helps if there's somebody on the other side with a tool that can pull it in but anyway that it takes a minute or so but anyway look at this one I did this one first and the previous person did that to the paint not me but it's nice and tight and it looks right so there you go that's how you change out your 1967 to 70 Hood bumpers.
