These WHITE "Plasma" LEDs are a direct replacement for 1156 and will fit anything you might have that takes an 1156 bulb (or other bulbs with the same base configuration, such as 97 and 1003 bulbs).

Basically good for every car from 1950 to 1990 that uses a 1156 bulb.

Cougar/Mustang specific applications:

1967 - 1973 trunk and hood lights (no modifications)
1967 - 1968 interior C-pillar "opera" lights (no modifications)
1969 - 1970 back up light bulb (no modifications)
1967 - 1969 under-dash sockets (with minimal modifications to the bracket and socket. See pictures below.)

Nice, bright, and fit perfect. Plug and play, makes backing up in the dark much easier. It also fit perfect in the trunk.

I purchased these for another vehicle my 92 Dodge W250. They fit well and were definitely brighter and have held up well in a vehicle that tends to ride like lumber wagon. I am happy with the purchase and will purchase them again for other vehicles and my motorcycle. I did get a digital turn signal relay but had to leave the turn signal light on the dash with an incandescent light other wise I still got the hyper flash.

I chose the back up lights for all 4 interior lights in my 69 Eliminator. It made a huge positive difference and am glad I did not go with the courtesy bulbs as brightness is just right. Bend the tabs as shown. For the rear side lights above rear dash, bend bulb mount slightly to accommodate the extra length.
