Locking pawl catch pin for your 67-69 Lincoln - Mercury - Ford tilt steering columns. This is an improved reproduction with cir-clips to prevent movement, avoiding damage to you locking pawl. These shafts are notorious for working their way out of place with normal use. Once the pin works its way out the locking pawl will not be aligned with the teeth and the cast part will break under pressure. Upgrading to these parts can avoid several hundred dollars in damage. These precision parts are made from drill bit blanks and will never fail. Lifetime warranty, 2 required per car, both included in this set.

A good solution to the problem of the pins coming out on a tilt wheel. Obviously it’s not concours correct, but it can’t be seen so I still gave it 3 stars.

Thanks for the video showing how the pins on the tilt columns work loose. The pins were half out on mine when I took the steering column apart, but fortunately the teeth were not damaged. The new pins fit perfectly, and I had to problem putting the clips on. I highly recommend these!

After watching the video regarding Tilt column problems, I slid the cover up as instructed and checked the pins on my column. Sure enough, they were half way out of their proper location. I ordered the WCCC pins and have replaced both using the technique illustrated in the video. Thanks WCCC, I know I would've been trying to fix this problem in a couple of months...not on my work bench.
