Single cylinder head from 1967 Mercury Cougar with non smog 289 engines, 289-2V and 289-4V all the same. Sold as a core, needs thorough cleaning and rebuilding prior to use. Typically this cylinder head has 1.78 and 1.45 inch valves, and the chambers measure out at 54-55 cc's. With stock pistons, these heads will net an approximate compression ration of 9.3:1. Carburetor dashpot this is the early 'short' version, plunger is about 11/16" inches long. NOS distributor lead wire without the boot for the coil. There were at least two different lengths of wire leads found on 1967 Mercury Cougar and most all other Ford and Mercury distributors.
