OEM style nut to hold the axle U-bolt to the axle. Fine threaded like originals 7/16-20 grade 5. Will not fit some reproduction U-bolts. Sometimes these are called shock plate bolts. Replaces Ford part # 379244-S
Used pair of 31 spline axles for the 68 - 70 Cougar or Mustang, equipped with the Boss 302, 427 and 428 CJ engines all with 9 inch rear axles. Most all other vehicles used 28 spline axles. Don't throw away those panels just because the backing boards are broken and warped! You cannot buy reproduction panels for the 67-70 Mercury Cougar, but you can buy this pair of backer boards. If your vinyl is good, then you will want to put the work into them. These are not a quick fix, they do take time to install but the end result is worth it.
