Used brake switch plug end, the one that plugs into the brake pedal switch for the brake lights. These often times get hot and partially melt. Easy to change, no cutting or splicing of wires. The female spade plug end just releases from the plug end, look for the release tab for beside the wire on the back.

New wiring pigtail with male bullet connector, and male / female paired connector. Also has rubber grommet that fits a 5/8" inch hole. Looks like 18 gauge wiring. 57084-S Attaching bolt with 7/16" hex head and captured washer. Among other things, it is used to attach the door run, window stops (all 3), both window stabilizers, and the window regulator. Same bolts for manual and power window regulators. Bolt sold individually, there are a good handful in each door. This bolt is used for bolting in the bolt-in glass on 1970, lower "L" bracket for rear quarter windows on 1971-73 Cougar and Mustangs.

Almost identical to the original, tab is a bit longer. *NOTE*1969 Cougar owners do not need this part as it is built in the the chromed plastic, rectangular bezel on the door panel.

Ford calls this Rod - Door Latch Push Button. This is the passenger side manual door locking rod. Side specific to the driver side on any 1971-73  Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Your chromed plastic lock knob threads onto the threaded end, the lower end hooks onto the door latch. Ford part number D1ZZ-6521852-A.

This handle is a good replacement for the window cranks found on the 1971 - 1972 Cougar both front and back. The originals were 4 1/4" total length and this replacement handle is 4 7/8" long. The important detail on these is the fact that the female portion that attaches to the splined window regulator protrudes from the back 5/16".
