This is a set of four 7/16 nuts that are used to secure the carburetor to the intake manifold. If you need to replace your rusty old studs, we also carry an eight piece kit that contains the studs and nuts.

Just about the only possible reason to put this poor quality reproduction on your Cougar is that it is a good tool to put out engine fires. No Joke! If you happen to have an engine fire you can carefully open your hood, yank the blanket downward and smother the fire by pushing the blanket tight around the area that is burning. These original hood blanket clips grip much better than the reproductions. Usually there were 10-11 of these clips used but it can vary from car to car as they tended to be inconsistent at the factory on how many of the available holes they actually stuck a clip into. Sold Individually.

These are marked 1Z, among other things the slot is specifically indexed for the 1971-73 Cougar and Mustang application. Unlike the 1968 Cougar headlight switch, the 1967 and 1971-73 version does not have the three vacuum ports connected to it. Don't be fooled . . . Most vendors will sell you a Mustang switch and tell you it is the same.
