1971 Mercury Cougar

Used plastic clip for the Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Cougar owner Mike B. shares that this clip was also used on 1970 Cobra Jets with Drag Pak option. Used to hold the wiring harness behind the factory oil cooler on the radiator core support.

This is one of the hardest clips to obtain on any year of Mercury Cougar. Two required per bezel for the three bezels located on the passenger door and the two bezels in the back seat. Do not pry your bezels off or these clips will break rather release the clip with a small screw driver by inserting it in the rectangular hole on either side. If you are struggling to remove one of these bezels keep in mind it is best to have two people with two screw drivers come in from both sides at the same...

Non-original style replacement clip for mounting the quarter window regulator arm to the window channel bracket on all 1969-70 Cougar and Mustang coupe and convertibles. This clip will work with either the 1969-early 1970 bracket and the late 1970 bracket. The late 1970 brackets used a unique spring steel clip that seldom is reusable. Sold individually, one each per window.

Reproduction clip for attaching the plastic upper radiator seal for 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Also called a radiator air deflector. Slightly different in design, but fits perfectly. Sold individually, 4 total per application. There are 2 versions of this deflector for different width radiators. There were 4 clips o hold this seal to the lip of the radiator. Also fits 1970-71 Torino, Cyclone, and Ranchero Replaces Ford Part # 358457-S2.

Aftermarket clip for attaching the long black plastic rear bumper filler on any 1971-73 Mercury Cougar. A total of 8 clips are needed to attach the rear bumper filler. Most have either broken with age, or have broken during the removal of the filler. Sold individually.

This item holds the release bale to the upper knuckle. New clip for holding a single wire. Often times this clip is used for the trunk light. Also seen under the dash panel on select years. Most likely other locations too from the factory. Panel hole size is 1/4 inch. From the factory one clip was used per car for the trunk light. Sold individually.  Replaces Ford part number 382929-S.

These original hood blanket clips grip much better than the reproductions. Usually there were 10-11 of these clips used but it can vary from car to car as they tended to be inconsistent at the factory on how many of the available holes they actually stuck a clip into. Sold Individually.
