This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. The majority of the rocker moulding end clips we get look like this unit in that the stud is broken or the wire tensioner has been broken off. Putting a new stud in one of these clips is not a hard job. Sold Individually.

Finned aluminum Ford cast valve covers for any 1970-71 Ford or Mercury with 429CJ engine. Almost correct on 1971 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang with N or C code 429CJ engines. D0OE-6583-A is the part number cast on both. These both have the same opening for the oil filler cap on both sides. Technically, for 1971, the passenger side cover would have a round hole for the PCV grommet and have a D1OE-6583-CA casting number.
