Used brake shoe guide plate, or anchor pin, that holds the top of the drum brake shoes together on your Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang equipped with drum brakes. Grade "A" doors have never been dented in, cracked in the door latch area or rusted in the corners under the weatherstrip. When you turn it over and inspect it, the bottom seam it is not expanding from the inside out due to rust. C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. This is an upgraded version from what you see in our video but the idea is the same. This tool has a square hole so you can use your 3/8" drive ratchet or breaker bar to get the correct angle and have even better control of your leverage when placing the torsion bar into the slot. This is the correct, original gasket for your 1971-73 Mercury Cougar antenna. Not only is it much thicker than the Ford Mustang gasket, but it also has a different overall geometry to it. Gasket mounts under the antenna base, The Mustang gasket will work, but your antenna will always be slightly askew.
