1971 Mercury Cougar

Nice reproduction of the 1970 - 1973 front adjusting bracket for the 351 Cleveland engines. These do not have any markings.

This new for 1970 bracket, is also to be used in conjunction with the all steel "C" shaped pump mounting bracket. Only used on 1970 H code 351W engines found in Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. Not to be confused with the 351C or Cleveland bracket. The engineering # stamped on the part is D0AA-3C511-D and the MPC lists the part # as D0AZ-3C511-A. This is a rather hard part to find as most 1970 Cougars came with the 351C. For restoration purposes, this bracket was factory painted satin black. ...

D0AZ-3A732-C Stamped steel bracket for mounting the power steering pump. Ford called this bracket the 'power steering pump adjusting bracket'. For any factory air conditioned or non-air conditioned 1971 - 1973 Cougar or Mustang with 351 engines, additionally used on Mustangs with the F code 302 V8 engines.

Used in conjunction with the front bracket, bolts onto stud protruding from the rear of your radio, rather hard to find once the original radio has been removed. Used brake hose support bracket for all 1971-73 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. This attaches with two bolts to the driver side rear frame rail, it supports the flexible brake hose that goes to the rear axle. Ford had two versions of this part, picture shows the early version, later versions had a chunk cut off of the corner. Replaces Ford part number D1ZZ-2073-A, and D1WY-2073-A.

Used trunk plate or bracket for mounting the "J" bolt for the spare tire. Several versions of this bracket, this is the most common one. Mounts flat to the trunk floor surface on all 1967-70 Mercury Cougar hard tops, with full sized spare tires. Additionally, 1971-73 Mercury Cougar convertibles. We cut these out of the trunk floors, so there will be some metal preparation for the customer. Ford part number C7AZ-6247076-A.

Used bracket for mounting a steering column to the instrument panel on any 1970-71 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Main bracket only, there is also a side support bracket that is also needed. Bracket also used on 1970 full sized Ford and Mercury cars, and 1970-71 Ford Maverick. Tilt and fixed steering columns.Ford part number D0AZ-3676-A.

Used lower steering column mounting bracket at firewall, for any 1971-73 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Rubber seal will need to be replaced, see related items for rubber seal.  Ford part number D1ZZ-65017A50-A.
