The automatic seat back release option was added in early 1970 for Cougar and Mustang. The automatic seat back release would pull the release lever on both of the bucket seats. This only happens when the either the driver or passenger side door is opened. Reproduction inner floor frame rail patch for the Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang coupe and convertible. As this item is for a Mustang, you will find that you will have to modify it to work with your Cougar. This unit measures 28" long where the Cougar piece is 19". This unit is a 1/4" wider than the Cougar piece as well.

Now you can replace this original part, which is commonly stripped out, with a nice reproduction. These correct floor pan patches are for the 1969-70 coupe and do not have drain plugs like the 1967-68 panels. These are made from a really rigid steel and do not easily bend or dent easily like many of the offshore pans you find on the market. These 20 gauge panels are 24" long, 15 1/4" wide and a 5/8" flange that butts up against the inner rocker. Original used three piece tack strips for the 1969 - 1970 Cougar convertible. Over-sized, must be shipped via UPS.

C9ZB-7653139-A is the part number for the drivers side, C9ZB-7653138-A for the passenger side. These will often break when one hydraulic lift cylinder malfunctions and the other is still working. This scenario will put the top frame in a bind causing one of these cast parts to break. We carefully inspect these before shipment for cracks, worn areas or corrosion.

Detachable mounting plate for installing the passenger side convertible ram cylinder, to the convertible top frame assembly behind the quarter interior panel. Right and left are the different, fits all 1969-70 Mercury Cougar and 1965-70 Ford Mustang convertibles. Ford part number C5ZZ-76531A18-A.

This short section of wiring attaches to the terminal post on the starter solenoid that faces towards the firewall. The other end is a female plug that incorporates a fusible link. If your switch were to get stuck or the frame got in a bind with continued power being applied this is the portion that would blow saving you from a costly wiring "melt-down". This same part was used on both XR7 and standard Cougars with a power sunroof or convertible top.

This pair of reproduction convertible top hooks are beautifully chrome plated and features correct thread size. Looks close to original. These hooks are actually for 71 - 73 Cougars and Mustangs, but will work just fine on the 69 - 70.

C5ZZ-7610962-A Ford description of this plate is "Plate - Front floor lower cross member". All 1967-73 Cougar convertibles and all 1965-73 Ford Mustang convertibles use this plate. Bolts into place with 6 hex bolts 3/8-16 x 1-1/8" with washers. These were painted satin black from the factory. As you look at our picture below you will see the repro is about half the thickness. The repro is different in every detail but will work. We also have used plates with minor damage at a reduced cost.

These convertible black interior "A" pillar mouldings are sold as a pair only. The texture and contour look good when installed but when turned over you will see they are thicker than original and are made from a different material than original. These may require some grinding of high spots on the back side to make them fit flush against the windshield post. Replaces Ford part # C9ZZ-7603598-B and C9ZZ-7603599-B.

Good used metal strip that fastens the weatherstrip to the bottom side of the header bow. Keep in mind we have (almost) every single used part related to the 69-73 Convertible Cougar and convertible Ford Mustang / Shelby in stock at all times.

This is the stainless steel trim for the front of the boot that attaches to the back side of the back seat in a 1969 or 1970 Cougar and Stang. This is a very hard part to come by in good shape. Grade A exhaust manifold heat shield for any 1970 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with 351C engine, 2V or 4V, it doesn't matter. Uses a separate, small diameter metal tube (part number D0OZ-9652-A) that attaches to the 1970 Cleveland air cleaner snorkel. Grade A used will only have minor pitting, it will have no holes or rough rusted edges. We also stock B grade versions for less than half the money.Replaces Ford part number D0OZ-9A603-F.
