Used locking pawl for the 1970 - 1979 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang that is equipped with a factory tilt steering column. This unit works in conjunction with a pin and is responsible for locking the tilt column in place. In many cases, the pin tends to move out of place and break or chip the teeth of the locking pawl. #373820-S Copper washer for attaching the 8 inch or 9 inch third members to the axle housings. Steel washers will leak, made from copper which is a soft metal and seals under the attaching nuts. Copper washers like the OEM Ford installed washers. Reproduction rubber bumper that mounts to the metal axle snubber on Ford nine inch rear ends on 1969 - 1970 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. New part with a course threaded stud, also called a pinion bumper. The correct casting number is seen on this rubber axle bumper is C9OA-4906-A, this version has course threads. This retainer clamps together the two edges of the shroud and sets into the mounting holes on the column. The original is very hard to remove because of the saw blade teeth inside the grooves, and most times the tabs will easily break off. This reproduction will not have those teeth.
