These are the screws that secure the door latch mechanism to the door shell. These screws come with the attached crown headed lock washer, just like the originals, so be sure to tighten them down snugly to ensure that the screw head sits flush into the screw holes. These fuel door Mercury crest emblems have been lovingly restored by a long time Cougar enthusiast. They have been carefully repainted the correct colors and will really liven up the looks of the rear of your 1969 - 1970 Cougar. This crest was used on all models except the 1970 Eliminator. You may consider buying our grade "B" door over our grade "A" door if you are doing a high end restoration. Here is the reasoning; due to the design of the 69-70 door, silt is trapped in all of the door corners, these tight recesses always have silt collected in them and when you add moisture you get corrosion. Our grade "A" doors do not have noticeable blisters but since there is no paint or sound deadener in the depths of the corners we know there is some amount of corrosion taking place...

These are the same left to right, convertible or coupe. These appear to be made from the same thickness of aluminum as original and weigh .44 pounds as opposed to .50 for the originals but the aluminum used is not nearly the quality of originals. You can literally mutilate these parts with your fingers as you would an aluminum can. We recommend the premium quality sills. Ford never made these in stainless but what a great upgrade! The advantage we see with these is that they do not dent or scratch as easy when you release your seat belt. 57084-S Attaching bolt with 7/16" hex head and captured washer. Among other things, it is used to attach the door run, window stops (all 3), both window stabilizers, and the window regulator. Same bolts for manual and power window regulators. Bolt sold individually, there are a good handful in each door. This bolt is used for bolting in the bolt-in glass on 1970, lower "L" bracket for rear quarter windows on 1971-73 Cougar and Mustangs.

Economy quality door speaker covers made from plastic injection. This version does not have a metal grille, the entire grille is made of plastic. In most situations we would recommend the Premium version as it has metal grilles; the all plastic version will cover the hole and will look correct if you don't inspect them closely, but is much easier to accidentally punch a hole in and will not stand up as well over time. This handle is a good replacement for the window cranks found on the 1971 - 1972 Cougar both front and back. The originals were 4 1/4" total length and this replacement handle is 4 7/8" long. We often will have B grade knobs with less than great chrome plating for lots less money. This is a good used original rear window crank with no obvious scratches or pitting. May or may not come with random colored knob. It most likely will be missing the decal but will have the original set screw. Ford part number is C8ZZ-6530322-A, casting number shown on back is C8ZB-6530323-A. This is actually not correct for a 1968 but it is all that is available in reproduction. The 1968 front is actually the same 4 1/4" length as the rear. Many people prefer the longer version as it makes it easier to roll up. We do have good used 1968 front cranks for those who prefer to stay with original.
