This rubber plug is found on the bottom side of 68 and 69 Cougars without tilt column. It covers the access hole for the bolt that removes the column head / collar. This white plastic spacer fits into the back of the right hand inner knob on cars without factory fader or balance. Vacuum / electric tilt away solenoid for the 1968 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. These vacuum tilt solenoids are tested and guaranteed to work.
