This tube is embedded into the cylinder head making it rather difficult to remove intact. For all 1968 through 1970 R and Q code 428CJ and SCJ air cleaners. Snorkel has the opposite jog than 390GT snorkels. This one jogs towards the rear of the engine. Originally this snorkel should have had an ink stamp of C8OF-9A626-A or -B. Ford MPC number C8OZ-9A626-C.
This is a 1968 only part that is correct for Cougars equipped with the 390 GT "S" code motor. Whether your Cougar has the GT package or not, as long as it has a 4V 390 motor, this is the correct snorkel for your Cougar. The internal dimensions of the opening at the air cleaner base end measure 4 1/8" X 2 3/16", the flange mounting holes measure 5 1/2" on center. The opening for the S tube is 2 3/4". Please keep in mind that our hard to find parts like this are not always competitively priced...
Air cleaner intake assembly or snorkel specific to the one year only 390-2V premium fuel engine, (X code engine). This version has the vacuum operated trap door. There was an more common thermal version that used temperature to open the trap door to the heat stove. In most cases the vacuum valve will not be working. Most people are probably better off with the thermal version. We do not know the change over date. Ford part number C8WY-9A626-A. *Note - This snorkel has a different spacing...
This reproduction cigar / cigarette lighter socket is a good fit and is easy to install. This lighter socket also comes with the retainer. Replaces Ford part # C6ZZ-15055-B.
Application small block 289/302/B302 all years 1967 - 1969 with factory Thermactor smog. Spacer for mounting cast iron air pump mounting bracket. Sized .75" O.D. x .73" long. *Note - On Cougars with factory air conditioning 1 spacer is used. On Cougars without air conditioning 2 spacers are used together.
Used exhaust manifold spacer without butterfly valve for use on 1967 to mid 1968 Mercury Cougar, Mercury Cyclone, Ford Fairlane, and Ford Mustang with 390 or 427-4V engines. Straight factory used spacer. Most cars came equipped with a thermal spacer that often times gets frozen with time. No obstruction with this one.Note - Does not fit the slightly larger 428CJ exhaust manifolds. Ford part number C6OZ-9A427.
C7SZ-3D600-A Power steering pump adjusting spacer for use without air conditioning. For most 1967 - 1969 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with 289, 302, 390, 428CJ engines, excludes 1969 351W and 1969 Boss 302 engines. Spacer dimensions: 7/16" I.D. x 1" O.D. and 1/2" thick. Same thickness as the pedestal bracket for air conditioning.
Used spacer for the lower windshield moulding on any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Set of 4 used on the lower windshield moulding. There are notches on the outer ends for the location. Ford small block engines and with a 3 or 4 speed manual transmission. Fits only the larger 164 tooth flywheel. Starting about 1970, these would have had a cutout window in the upper section. This item may or may not have the cutout. Very limited supply, keep checking or click the notify me button.
Reproduction engine block spacer plate for 69 - 73 Cougars or Mustangs with 351 engines and 3 or 4 speed manual transmissions. According to the Master Parts Catalog, it also fits 164 tooth bellhousings on 1968-70 with 302 engines too. We also stock the early version from 1968 and 157 tooth versions.
