Controversy abounds on which shrouds received these and which did not. It is our understanding that no early Cougars came from the factory with this decal installed. This decal first surfaced when Ford had major problems with their flex fans in the early 1970's. We will let you decide if it is correct for your application... This is placed on the top, center of the fan shroud.

Reproduction Detroit Locker Glove Box Decal for the 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 Mercury Cougar

This is the decal I see on many 1967 Cougars but not 1968. For some reason the majority of 1967 Cougars are missing the decal altogether (unlike 1968 - 1973). My guess is that maybe the adhesive was not as good. I like this decal as it actually shows a Cougar instead of Mustang.

Standard belts can be identified in 1967 by the plastic lift up female buckle. Deluxe belts are identified by the metal female buckle that are released by a center button.
