For any 1967 or 1968 Cougar with either a 289 or 302 engine. Virtually the same bracket as for the 1969 351W engine. Except for the obvious 1-1/4 inch hole in the middle of the bracket, they are the same. Compare the OEM used part price to the reproduction part. Ford master part number C7AZ-3C511-A, same part number as the 351W bracket with the addition of the large hole. For any year 1967 1968 1969 1970 Mercury Cougar with an FE 390, 427, or 428CJ engine. Identified by the round dimple stamped into it. Compare the OEM used part price to the reproduction part. For restoration purposes, this bracket was factory painted satin black.
This cast bracket bolts to the frame on the driver side and anchors the power steering hydraulic cylinder. Used bracket for mounting the rear axle flexible brake hose. This is a factory welded in bracket that was removed from a 1967-69 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Double check your placement for your particular year, when welding the bracket to your car. Good used bracket the you need to separate from the factory spot welds. Part bead blasted for photo, has correct "D" shaped hole for indexing the flexible brake hose to rear axle. Ford part number C7ZZ-2A051-A.
Used trunk plate or bracket for mounting the "J" bolt for the spare tire. Several versions of this bracket, this is the most common one. Mounts flat to the trunk floor surface on all 1967-70 Mercury Cougar hard tops, with full sized spare tires. Additionally, 1971-73 Mercury Cougar convertibles. Upper bracket only, subject to availability. *Note - The upper bracket is about 5-1/8" inches long, Hole spacing is 4-3/16ish". There is an early Mustang / Falcon bracket looks right, but is only 4-1/4" inches long, don't be fooled.
