This part is installed on all XR7 fuel sending units and Cougars and Mustangs with the optional Convenience Control Package. Low quality off shore part that requires soldering to your fuel sending unit. This is a temperature sensing device that activates when the fuel level drops enough to expose the unit at which point the circuit is closed and the low fuel light comes on. Commonly referred to as a Thermister / Thermistor / Low Fuel Sending Unit.

Cosmetically this bezel will be as good as our grade "A" units, but when you turn them over you will notice one or two of the feet will be broken off. These missing feet may make it a little more cumbersome to install and if someone walks on your installed console these feet do provide support. This light was used on 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar and 1967-68 Ford Mustang Consoles with the roll up door. Not for use on the XR7 console. You will not realize how yellowed your original is until you put it next to this new one. Correct for XR7 or standard 67-68 consoles. Note, these install much easier if you trim a small sliver off each of the four mounting tabs with a utility blade.

Sprayed with black flocking on the front side and color coded to the console base on the rear side. We have several colors in stock but cannot guarantee you will get your desired color. Will have at least one broken tab for mounting. A drop or two of glue will be needed to attach to the console.

Light Ivy Gold windlace or pinch weld moulding for any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with factory console. Good used base with minimal cracks. The Cougars equipped with air conditioning had the last few inches trimmed off. It is a rather rough, hand cut from the factory. Standard is different from XR7 in that the XR7 had two holes drilled in the base towards the back to fasten the top pad. The standard base has no metal clip on the top side, midway as the chrome shifter bezel clips into the larger chrome bezel under the top pad.
