Was hoping for a usable PDF shop manual ... instead this requires some garbage software to be installed and "activated online". Even worse, that garbage software requires administrative privileges to run ... clearly some incompetent software editor more focused on milking their license than providing a decent customer experience. Pathetic. WCCC Response: The manufacturer was previously required by Ford to use the registration software to verify that the pdf was not just being copied and given out. He was able to work with Ford to be able to offer a more user friendly method, that no longer requires that registration software. He has also improved the ability to search the pdf.

I was fortunate enough to get a printed (2” thick) shop manual with the Cougar I purchased. But I prefer reading through it at my leisure in the living room. For actual hands-dirty work in the shop or garage, I use this awesome electronic copy to print out just the pages I’ll need. That way when I get them all dirty or greasy, they go in the trash. The PDF is easy to install from the USB drive to a Windows PC; I even installed a copy on my Android tablet easily. As of 2026, there is no special software to install and registering the product is easy. I usually try to get PDF copies of all the manuals I work with and this is the highest quality I’ve ever purchased.
This works great and this manual is a must for all owners.
Well I'm a little old school. The repair manual (book) worked just fine.....Until I saw my son using his "repair manual on a stick" as he calls it. Quick to search and find the sections you need. Simple to use, highly recommend
