I bought this stainless steel piece for my 1968 cougar (everyday driver). After talking to the owner Don over the phone he recomended I use the moulding for 69 and 70 which was made of stainless steel and not aluminum, which was used on the 67 and 68 models. The stainless steel is supposed to be stronger and shinnier then the aluminum ones. Fit perfect on the car and easy to install
Excelent replacement, improves the back of the 100% pity about the core charge.
Same excellent craftsmanship as the front mouldings except in stainless steel. Since stainless is real pain to work with, this moulding was a definite bargain at this price.
When I slid this trim out of the tube on my back deck on a sunny afternoon it glimmered like a hattori hanzo (Uma Thurman's sword in kill bill). It made my day. It is so much better than the old trim that had survived 43 tough years. WCCC is first class. My only regret is not replacing this piece sooner.
Great!!!!
I have spent little over 1600.00.very pleased with every thing I got except the rear deck lid for 70 cougar.1st one I got had a dippol in the crome.u could see it pretty good on car.2nd one I got.is wavy, and crome is faded below key lock area .this is my first restoring project.i don't know, maybe these parts are the norm.i installed it any way.let it ride.tired of fooling with it.
