I bought this switch to put in my ididit tilt column and it fit perfectly. This switch made putting the tilt column in my cougar basically a plug and play thing. All the wires matched the factory and pins back into the factory plug and for the first time in 10 years all the lights work like they are supposed to.

This part is the exact replacement part. The wire colors were the exact colors of the original on my 1967 Cougar. You do need to retain the connector from the old part and you need a pin extraction tool or 2 small blade screw drivers to release the tabs on the old wires. Replace one wire at a time so you don't put the wrong wire in the wrong hole. There are no instructions or extraction tool provided with this.
