I actually bought this part to replace a poorly manufactured repro lid on a master cylinder I purchased from another supplier. This part fit perfectly and was far superior to the other crap I bought elsewhere.

What a great cap this is one is. 6 years ago I bought a Dorman master brake cylinder and no matter what I did it kept on leaking from the cap even with short rides and eventually I ended up with a rusted brake cylinder so I removed the cylinder and I was ready to throw it away but decide to give it one more chance so I painted with some Rustoleum cast iron engine enamel paint and then I baked the paint. I went ahead and bought this cap, put it on and today went for my usual short ride to my grocery store and guess what? No more leaks =) This cap is far superior to my old Dorman cap.
