Hey everybody, I recently purchased a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7. Something I noticed right away while driving the car was a "hissing" (vacuum) type of a noise coming from under the dash around the headlight switch. I ordered a new headlight switch from WCCC. The new switch shipped and arrived right on time. I did a little research and found various install videos on the internet. So, this made the installation pretty straight forward. I just took my time and made sure everything was the way it was supposed to be. Good quality product ! Very happy customer.
My 69 would idle rough every time I put the headlights on. Hissing under the dash was the give away and after replacing with this switch assembly, problem solved. To my unexpected delight, it also greatly improved the illumination of the dash lights. Straight forward installation. Great product.
