Excellent reproduction of the little 1 1/8" wide plastic emblem found on every 1970 - 1974 three spoke steering wheel pad. This emblem can also work on the 1969 - 1973 two spoke steering wheel pad but it is not an exact fit as the two spoke wheel emblem is only 1 1/32" wide. Keep in mind we made these EXACTLY as original so they are very fragile. This little emblem was used only on the two spoke steering wheels from 1969 - 1973. We can pretty much guarantee one if not both of the two mounting studs will be broken but because of the way it fits into the recess of the steering wheel pad, gluing it into place is not a problem. The tail will always be broken and probably at least one leg is missing on this grade B part. While not an exact fit our 3 spoke wheel emblem cat will fit on this black background.

This is one of the smallest "Cougar" emblems ever put on a Mercury Cougar. Only the 70-73 two spoke cat and xr7-G shift handle Cougar was smaller. It is also the most delicate! Very unusual to find the tail and all limbs intact on this fragile little kitty. Silver spray paint will make this cat look new again, they did not have a chrome finish from the factory. Now that we have reproduced this emblem there is little incentive to purchase this over-priced used emblem.
