With today's gas, these commonly fail, especially when sitting for extended periods of time. Complete failure will cause fuel leaks, but many times these will affect performance well before a leak actually starts. Good idea to replace every few years or if sitting for 6 months or more. Four required per car. *Tip from Andrew Petyak* Found a good product to clean used vacuum lines. Its called Wide White-from Coker tire (or Wesley's White Wall Bleach). Used to clean whitewall tires. Its safe for rubber with no harsh chemicals in it. Cleans up rad hoses without giving them that shiny look. Put small amount in thick cotton towel and gently pull hose through it.

If you find that this tube has too small of fittings for your OEM 4150 / 4160 Holley carburetor than what has happened is that someone has replaced your transfer tube and fittings with one of the after-market kits available at speed shops. This is the ONLY correct transfer tube for a Cougar equipped with a Holley from 1967 - 1970. Replaces Ford part # C9AZ-9H576-A.

This clip attaches by the driver's side front of the fuel tank opening, and holds the fuel line in place near the sending unit. Used on late 1967 to 1968 cars with the 3/8" fuel line. Early 1967 cars had smaller 5/16" fuel line and different routing (through the transmission tunnel) and did not use this part. Linkage arm that attaches to the windshield wiper motor that is unique to the 67 - 68 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. These are marked 7Z, among other things the slot is specifically indexed for the 67 - 68 Cougar and Mustang application. This is basically an installation kit that includes: linkage arm, flat bushing, wave washer, and nut. The order of installation is flat bushing, wave washer, linkage arm, and lastly the nut.
