1967 Mercury Cougar

This 'Cal Custom' style 14" Air Cleaner Assembly looks great and really compliments our new matching oil pan and valve covers. These covers offer a true "old school" look. Clean look with no visible mounting nut. Lid has a 1/4x20 nut attached on the bottom side (requires shortening carburetor stud). Kit includes aluminum finned top, air filter, and bottom plate.

This screw / stud seems to always be missing. This screw is just a little longer than stock to accommodate installing the Hi-Po air cleaner. Fits most Autolite carburetors. Size: 4 1/8 inches length 1/4-20 X 5/16-18 threads. Check your thread size on the carburetor, we think that starting in 1969 the Autolite 4300 carburetors had 1/4-20 threads. Nice used air cleaner assembly, includes base, snorkel, heat riser and air cleaner lid. Application is any 1967 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang with C code 289-2V or A code 289-4V engines without emissions. All good parts as shown, thermal switch in air cleaner snorkel may not work, and no we cannot test them.Even if you are not currently running all original parts under the hood this is a great set to stow away as these items are going up in price and add value to your car when the time comes...

Reproduction stud and nut assembly that the factory line workers used for locating the air conditioning pedestal bracket. Then backed up with a nut. Used on 289 / 302 / 351W / 390 / 428CJ pedestals from 1967 - 1973. Stud is threaded into the cylinder head for easy installation of the cast iron pedestal bracket.*Note - Excludes 351C and 429CJ.
