Used cast iron choke stove from any 1970 351C-4V Ford engine. This is held on with 2 bolts. Casting number on the iron plate is D0AE-9A705-C, which is only for the plate. The plate and tube assembly has a Ford part number of D0AZ-9C869-A. No hardware included. Just about the only possible reason to put this poor quality reproduction on your Cougar is that it is a good tool to put out engine fires. No Joke! If you happen to have an engine fire you can carefully open your hood, yank the blanket downward and smother the fire by pushing the blanket tight around the area that is burning. These original hood blanket clips grip much better than the reproductions. Usually there were 10-11 of these clips used but it can vary from car to car as they tended to be inconsistent at the factory on how many of the available holes they actually stuck a clip into. Sold Individually.

This "D" clip is larger than that found on the Mustangs and 1967 Cougar because it not only hung the wiring loom on the driver side of your engine compartment but also the vacuum lines going to the headlight switch. This clip is also found under the starter solenoid and under dash. We think that it is Ford part number 382184.

With today's gas, these commonly fail, especially when sitting for extended periods of time. If you find that this tube has too small of fittings for your OEM 4150 / 4160 Holley carburetor than what has happened is that someone has replaced your transfer tube and fittings with one of the after-market kits available at speed shops. This is the ONLY correct transfer tube for a Cougar equipped with a Holley from 1967 - 1970. Replaces Ford part # C9AZ-9H576-A.
