The bulbs do look brighter and the price was the same as other LED bulb websites. The only issue I had was the 2 license plate bulbs (notches on the bulb were different) did not match the new WCCC plasma bulbs.
I bought these for my 67 and what a difference they make! Very bright, very clear to see in daylight. They cost a small fortune once i got them across the pond and paid duty on them, but worth the price!
These are the best LED replacement bulbs I've seen yet! I replaced the brake/taillights on my 1965 Buick Gran Sport and the difference is astounding. I'm going to order more to replace the brake/taillights on all my classic cars, including the backup and front turn signals. Now if only you had the 1156 bulb in red and 1157 in white everything would be perfect!
After trying several different LED bulbs with great disappointment, I ran across someone that was using yours on a forum. I gave them a try in my Jeep and Chevy and they are amazing! They do just what you claim. Each of my photos has one new LED bulb and one old incandescent. the difference in brightness is obvious.
These are great. My lights and turn signal are so much BRIGHTER! I recommend everyone convert over.
I bought this product to replace the 1157 tail light bulbs in my 67 Shelby. You could not see my tail lights/brake lights when the brake pedal was pushed and I worried that someone would run into the back of my car. The plasma led red 1157 bulbs have made my worry go away! You can really see my tail lights now. The installation & fit of the Plasma led red 1157 bulbs was just like replacing the old 1157 light bulbs. I would recommend the Plasma Led red 1157 bulbs to anyone who thinks their present 1157 bulbs are not bright enough!
I do not have a Mustang or Cougar but bought these to install in a 1960 Edsel & 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL, which do not have sequential taillights. So far, I have only installed them in the Galaxie and they look & work great. Note to anyone installing these in older cars, you will have to change the flasher to one that will work with LED bulbs. The bulbs will not flash with the standard flasher in older cars. I have ordered a flasher for the Edsel & hope to have them installed shortly. Again these are brighter & look great. Thank to you all for a great product that works great & looks great
WOW. I put 1 bulb in the middle left side and turned on the sequential for the left to compare. That middle light was significantly brighter. I had a car club meeting that night, and many of the members commented on the brightness of the bulbs.
I own a 1970 cougar and was having problems with the rear taillights doing all kinds of weird things. Changed out everything but the directional switch, which was the next thing on the list. However, I decided to purchase and install the plasma light system first, and upon doing that all the rear taillight problems went away. They now perform flawlessly and are super bright. Read the report under the reproduction directional switch as that item cannot handle the current draw from the incandescent bulbs due to the steel rivets used by the manufacturer in making the switch. The answer to that is the plasma light system which draws only a fraction of the amps, therefore the reproduction directional switch can then be used without the worry of it getting damaged.
Absolutely Brilliant - literally ! Vastly brighter than original tungsten bulbs, and much more visible.
