These lights were a plug and play installation for my cougar. They are bright and very visible on the road. They are obviously not correct, but if you are going for correct, you can easily change them out. I feel safer driving with these lights on my Cougar.
Best LED (plasma) replacement bulbs I've found to date for my 62 T Bird and 65 Mustang. Great Safety Upgrade! Note: Great customer service - which is extremely hard to find these days. I will purchase products here first whenever possible!
Very easy Installation, No fabrication needed. Easy plug and play, I would highly recommend this part. Also would recommend instrument panel LED light for cluster. MAJOR IMPROVEMENT.
Fantastic lights plug and play. Great upgrade.
I put this unit in my 1970 Shelby along with the flasher and plasma bulbs and all I can say is...WOW! I don't have to worry about other drivers not seeing my directional or brake lights. Very easy to install and I would highly recommend it.
These lights are as advertised. Put them in about 6 months ago 67 Cougar. At least 50 to 70% Brighter. You will also notice that the lights do not dim when you hit the brakes as well. These are just an Awesome quick change out and truly an advantage in seeing your rare Cougar in the night just that much better. Also put these on my 67 Mustang convertable as well. Much Much Much Brighter and less current draw to the car. Thanks for researching and selling these!!!
I installed these and now during those same conditions as stated below (had someone follow me around) they are almost as bright as an 2014 Audi. These are amazingly bright and at night even brighter!!! I actually blinded myself looking at them head on the first time from 3 feet away. I'd say average length of a hood is that much so no one will be close enough to complain they are "too bright". Have not been pulled over in the few months of use for being too bright either. Because of the low load these bulbs have, my turn signals (in conjunction with the CREE LED front running light turn signals) are super fast. Really, really fast. I have been blessed that all of the original turn signal units and relays ALL work and these bulbs work without a hitch on this system. A solid state would be more reliable but mechanical will do for now. The only reason I decided to go almost all over to CREE LED was because in Southern California the sun creates this horrid glare when traveling on west/east bound lanes of any street or freeway. Going away from the sun the glare reflects on my lenses built in reflectors. So when I brake no one can even tell if I brake or turn on my signal. Going towards the sun is even worse due to light pollution in the eyes. I was hit once and that was it.
The plasma LED bulbs are great for faded tail light lenses when you just can not get them any more.
After a long search i ended up in this page and saw the plasma leds, i hadn't heard of them but saw the video and decided to give them a shot. I installed them and lo and behold in plain daylight the difference could be seen. I have couple of other cars that these bulbs will be a finding a home at.
All the claims are true. These are so much better. So bright they are easy to see even in direct sunlight. 3 for correctness just because they are not stock but I'd rather be seen than rear ended. Definately recommended for your Car.
