Big improvement. Looks much better with brighter lights. Looks as bright as new cars do.

Can't believe the difference! A must have!

I installed these LED's in my 68 and they work great! I like how the light fills the lenses and not look like a bulb glowing behind the plastic like the incandescence do.

These things are great! Very easy to install the LEDs, sequential unit and electronic flasher. An awesome upgrade. I'll now worry less about cars behind me paying attention.

Decided to try these out on my 68 GT/CS, and wow! I have to say I was a little skeptical on how big a difference they would make, but I am thoroughly impressed with the light output, particularly when applying the brakes/turn signals. They've got to be easily twice as bright as the stock incandescent bulbs, both as running lights and brake/signal lights. I just ordered another set for my brother's GT/CS; I'm sure he'll be just as impressed as me! Thanks WCCC!

The difference between the stock bulbs and these are night and day. If you are debating buying them just do it, they are well worth the investment. They make the tail lights as bright red as the modern cars and the brake lights are very bright too. No more dim tail lights that flicker. Once you get the old bulbs out they are very easy to install.

These bulbs are great. Probably the best benefit versus cost thing I have done for my Cougar. I'm going to put them in all of my cars now.

Great lights, One plastic has fallen off, just a dab of glue required to stick it on, Tho these lights are a major upgrade anyone should do on there car not only for safety reasons, but because they look tough as when in operation!

Thank You WCCC for this amazing item. My electrical system is old and a project I am putting off for a long time like...forever :) So, When my night lights were on and I would hit my brakes the standard bulbs would be on the dim side. If I hit my brakes and turned the blinker on they became almost so dim you wouldn't be able to see the blinker. Ugg. These LED's solved my tailing visibility and safety issue instantly, and work better than expected. This was by farther easiest project I have done on my car. I think it took longer to open the box, and cut the bags open than it did to instal in the light sockets. Thank Again!

I wanted to test these new bulbs out, but I didn't want to spring for a full set of six bulbs. So, I bought a pair for my '85 Mustang GT. They seem to be much brighter both during the day and at night. The rise and fall times of the brake lights are much more immediate. Since the bulbs are red, the color of the tail lights seems to be a richer, more pleasing looking red than with the incandescent bulbs. The Fox bodied Mustangs use a separate bulb for turn signals (amber), so these only operate as tail and brake lights. The light completely fills the tail light reflector and there is no off angle degradation of light the way other 1157 LED replacement bulbs have been described. I was surprised that so much light comes through the tiny holes in the sides of the bulbs.



Make sure you clean all your socket contacts before you install the bulbs. The side ground contact in my Mustang's sockets were heavily oxidized and one of the bulbs blinked at first. After scraping the contact with a screwdriver blade all is well.



In short, these are THE 1157 LED bulbs we've all been waiting for. Bright. Fast rise time. Completely fills the tail light reflector. No off angle light reduction. Rich red color which reminds me of the new BMW X5 tail lights.
