Reproduction Gas Filler Neck To Body Fuel Resistant Cork Gasket for the 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, and 1971 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang

Made from fuel resistant cork like original.  Modeled off the Mustang \ 69 Cougar gasket which has 5 screws (67-68 Cougar only used 4 screws), but works for any 67-73 Mustang / Cougar. For 67-68 Cougar applications you will have to just screw through the cork. We can say with out a doubt, that in both Dearborn and San Jose, the factory workers did not use the pre-drilled holes when installing the fuel filler necks. We have suggested that the supplier not make them with holes. Probably won't happen though.

    Ford Part #: C5ZZ-9076-A

    Original Cougar Part #:
    C6DZ-9076-A (1967 - Sept 16 1968, 4 hole gasket)
    C5ZZ-9076-A (Sept 16 1968 - end of 69 production, 5 hole gasket)
    D0DZ-9076-A (1970 - 1973, 5 hole gasket)

Here's a good tip! Ken Stein gave us this one...

Install two of these gaskets and your gas cap will not scratch your paint. Original gas caps will always scratch the paint without shimming the filler neck out with the use of a second gasket.

Holes in gasket do not line up with 68 Cougar filler neck. There's 4 filler neck screws and 5 holes in gasket. Lined up the upper left screw hole, centered the gasket the best I could and plowed the rest of the screws through.

Have to agree with the first review. I have a 67 and since they are so similar, it doesn't match up right either. I think it might be designed for the mustangs and thats why it does not fit perfect. Although it will work and does the job.
