    2 Cougar / 2 Mustang Applications

    Description

These are getting so hard to find without a broken drain cock or rust in the metal lips. We have a few single halves if you need the half without the drain cock. Soon we will have every single internal and external part from this assembly listed here, in the mean time give us a ring for those obscure parts! Two versions for 1969-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. Difference is the evaporator and the orientation of the tubes. Look for the triangle shaped rubber line seal for the later 1969-70 heater box with A/C. This box will have the lines parallel with the lines where the box splits. The unit you see pictured is typical of what you can expect in a late 1969 or 1970 with just a couple minor cracks in various places where screws have been over tightened and clips have been removed. If you can do fiberglass repair work we have many 1967-73 halves and completes starting at $50.

    Heater core NOT INCLUDED.

Ford MPC # D0ZZ-19897-B for the upper half, Ford MPC # D0ZZ-19897-A for the lower half.

Check out our video below on how to replace a heater core! We used a '69 Cougar with A/C, but many of the same concepts apply to other years.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
