This air cleaner was used on the 1967 GT Cougar only. It was possible to order a 390 GT motor for your Cougar without ordering the 390 GT package. Cougars equipped with the 390 6.5 Litre engine that did not come with the GT package would have used the air cleaner with a long tapered snorkel and painted lid. Mounts on the rear of either the 289-2V or 289-4V factory cast iron intake manifold. This valve has three equal sized vacuum hose fittings in addition to the steel line going to an intake manifold vacuum source. Due to the age of these valves, we cannot guarantee that they will work. Mounts on the rear of the intake manifold, it must be a 1967 or possibly a 1966 "S" intake manifold. There are no mounting provisions on 1968 or later factory cast iron intake manifolds. Complete original system as taken from a small block 289 from California. Comes with all items shown and you can choose from the large pulley as found on AC cars or the smaller pulley found on non AC cars. These systems are getting rather elusive to find with pliable hoses, correct Wittek clamps and correct fasteners. For years only those with big block cars cared to obtain original smog systems. Screws onto the cylinder head smog tubes. All California emissions 1967 Cougars with 289 or 390 engines, and 1969 - 1970 Boss 302 Eliminators, all thermactor smog air tubes. Sold individually, two needed per application. Due to the difficulty in removing these valves, we sell them attached to the air supply tubes. These are aftermarket replacements and will look significantly different than the OEM factory installed valves. But they work.

California emissions 390 engines only. Uses 4 bolts for mounting the drive pulley, the 390 pump has three air ports on the reverse side. Ford part number C6AZ-9A486-E. *Consider these used pumps as cores. We cannot warranty these pumps to work like new.

This three part bracket assembly attaches to the console and to the stud protruding from the back of your radio. If you do not use it, you may damage your console due to the weight of the older radios. Correct for Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. This bezel is covered almost entirely by the face pad with clock. Only the small area around the radio actually shows once installed. This late bezel does not have the upper support, the early version is closed.
