    Question
    Customer Asked:
Do you have the tool to extract the pins from the original connector?

    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:
You do not need a special tool to extract the pins from the original connector, you just need something pointy like a micro flat head screw driver, and some time/patience. Using the screw driver, or pointy object of your choice, press each tab down and gently wiggle the wire out of the original connector. Wiring harness pin removal tools are available at many auto parts stores, but those are not generally needed for harnesses of this vintage.

I know they list this as fitting for mustang years 1969-1970 however visually it looked identical to my 1971 mustang instrument cluster plug. I took a chance and ordered it and yes this is a perfect match for my 1971 mustang instrument cluster and fit like a glove. Since they don’t exist anywhere else I was thankful as my original plug had both the tabs break off.

    Works just fine

Correct plug replacement, here in the desert these are always broken. Easy to swap over, just do it one pin at a time.

I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...
