The motor I received had a longer vacuum tube than my original and as it is shown in the picture. I found this caused some interference when I tried to install it without taking the hood seal off but when I did I was able to get the mounting holes to line up properly. I considered cutting tube shorter but having it reach out side the seal looked like an advantage to me because it would make removing the hose easier. I had to bend the line slightly for it to go through the hole provided in the seal. This misalignment was what was causing me difficulty in installation when I tried it with the seal on. I can't call this a fault because my original terminated inside the seal leaving no change of interference. I felt confident in the purchase because the ford parts book calls for the same motor for a Cyclone as a 68 Mustang or Cougar. And other than the longer tube, it was a perfect match
