Panel fit was good and pretty easy install. I used rivets over sheet metal screws. I like the idea of metal between interior and trunk for strength and safety.
Good fit
A little adjustment needed to fit my 68 Cat… Maybe a little bit thin, I imagine this plate thicker. But it's a good product.
took a little bit of work but its in and don't weld it screw it in I had to remove mine a few times to get to some wiring you have been warned
While the car was dismantled I installed the Metal Rear Seat Divider and welded it in place. Gives great peace of mind knowing this metal rear seat divider is in place and provides protection from a rear end collision. This metal divider also strengthens the entire rear of the car. Great product and not too difficult to install.
Was going to make this myself. Glad I didn't try. This steel divider is cut perfectly and fits perfectly. I'm so glad I searched to see if anyone made or had plans to make this. This was so much easier. I strongly recommend this for any Cougar owner.
Following the advice of the Boss 302 Chassis modification book, I choose to weld this in place. It fit well, and I finished it in epoxy black primer.
Fit pretty darn good. Kinda hard to believe that car never had one of these. Everyone needs one of these and I can't imagine there is a better one out there. I welded mine in on the bottom and sides then used rivets on the top and into the cross brace behind it.
This piece is definitely a good fit in the back of a '68 cougar. Fit perfectly and installed easily using the installation kit WCCC sells. The steel was actually a bit thicker than I thought it would be. Since it's bare steel I sprayed mine satin black before installing.
I have always been meaning to buy this and I finally did. The product was decently sturdy and fit well. I decided to not weld mine in because it would make it much harder in the future to change out rear shocks. So I used sheet metal screws to attach mine and then covered it in some adhesive sound deadening. Havent noticed too much of a stiffness difference in the car but then again mine is a cruiser. I did notice a sound difference though after installing and covering in sound deadening. Definitely reccomend installing.
