They fit great. Better than the originals. Made of heavier material making them not go out of whack.
The hinges are very stiff and well made. Installing and adjusting the hood was easy and now there is no more wobbling when opening or closing. You could only get better hinges if you pay 500$ or up for billet hinges.
Bought these after watching the video. My car was at the paint shop and they were getting ready to do the panel fitment and I told them I was getting these. Shop said they are way better than originals and hood is aligned perfectly.
Love the quality and density (thickness) of the new hinges. When I shut the hood the first time to start the alignment, it felt so solid I caught myself saying "Oh yeah" aloud. Hood now opens and closes better than it ever has since I bought the car in 1982, even with having replaced the hinges with good used ones I got from Don back @2002(?). I was able to do the replacement and alignment alone.
Compare these to OEM and those available from others, these are superior in every way.
I first watched the video and it helped greatly. I kept the two old hinges as suggested.
This is an excellent product. Fixed my issue of the the hood sticking up on the aft end. Hood fits very goos now.
One of my stock hinges got all bent out of shape last week when I went to close the hood, so I figured I'd better replace both. Great fit, sturdy, and hood opens and closes smooth as butter now. They're black vs. unfinished like the originals, but they'll hold up better.
I bought a pair of these to replace an OEM part and a cheepo part. The guy I had do the renovation must have replaced only the bad hinge during the restoration. Anyways it lasted 15 yrs. Bought a set of these, installation was not trerrible, used the wood shims trick to remove the springs ( great hint). however once I got the hinges installed and the hood properly aligned, the back of the hood is about 3/16" low on the pasenger side. I've adjusted it as much as possible, but I've bottomed out the adjustment slots. Guess I'm going to have to pull the one hinge and grind out the slots.
Very nice looking parts. Haven't had a chance to install.
