I had purchased reproduction and OEM hood hinges in the past, but these are far and away the best replacement hinges. I have owned my "68 Cougar for 27 years and this is the FIRST time that the hood actually closes the correct way without having to push the rear of the hood down after closing it.

This is far and away one of the very best reproduction parts on the market and I highly recommend them to any cougar owners.

Just wanted to say "thanks" for the exceptional premium hood hinges (item #11092), that I just installed on my 67. What a difference!



The hood now feels much more solid and I no longer have to push down on the right corner after closing to get the proper alignment. (embarrassing at car shows)



Your video suggestion of the "spring removal tool", i.e. seat belt strap, was also helpful.



One simple trick that I did to assist in the alignment process was to place masking tape on the hood, apron and hinge, both vertical and horizontal, then with a ballpoint pen, draw a baseline mark across both pieces of tape and make adjustments as needed. This eliminates a lot of back & forth guessing.

Replaced original hood hinges , hood gap was terrible And old hinges bent inwards. I was hesitant using reproduction hood hinges but after watching your WCCC hood hinge Video and reading the reviews. I gave it a shot. They are definitely better than originals, heavier, thicker metal. Easy to install and adjust. I had my daughter and son help me hold the hood while I adjusted. They are very nice get em . I didnt have a old seat belt to remove springs as seen on Video, so i used a thick rope, Easy! Hood sits flush now. NO MORE GAP. Good price on these Dynacorn Premium Hood Hinges. Buy em here WCCC is fast becoming my favorite parts store.

I had zero problems installing these hood hinges on my 1967 base mode Cougar and heartily recommend them to others. I reused my original springs and couldn't be happier.

Solid, strong hinges. Better than the original hinges, which bent when I was closing the hood.

He helped me install the hood back onto the car with the new hinges...he is eating his words now. My old, originals were sloppy and I had to push the back of the hood down every time I closed it. That problem is gone. Very impressed with these...very smooth.
