    Description

    This reproduction driver side (left hand) emergency / parking brake cable fits from the equalizer to rear brakes. 1 required per vehicle. The cable length is approximately 29-1/2". Cougars manufactured after 2/69 may use the 1970-73 left hand cable. It is easy to check by measuring the cable. The 1968 cable is just over 29" long, and the 70 cable is just over 32" long. Click on the image to left to see the difference. The 1968 style of emergency brake cables can be used on the 1967 cars, as long as they are replaced completely.

    Material is super thin and fragile compared to original, doesn't look right, says "MADE IN CHINA" in big letters on the sheathing.

    Specifically, the fitment at the backing plate attachment point is terrible. The locking prongs are super thin and fragile looking and when it is inserted into the backing plate it doesn't fit tightly, just kinda flops around.

    Don't make the mistake I did. Spend the extra $20 for the concours version and save yourself the return shipping on this part.
