Product Condition Grades
Below is a general description of what the criteria is for our product condition grades. These are generalizations that are intended to give you an idea of the condition of the product at a quick glance. Because different parts degrade at different rates, there are variances in what the letters represent, please see the products description for details about the condition of any particular product.
A = Excellent / Above Average
B = Average / Some flaws / Good to Excellent Driver Quality
C = Obvious flaws / Poor to Average Driver Quality
D, E, F = Worse, Worser, Worsest
Common air pump for all 1968 - 1970 thermactor emissions systems. 1968
289-2V, 302-2V, and 302-4V all with manual transmissions, and 1968 390-4V, 427-4V all
domestic US Cougars. Additionally all
1968 - 1970 428 Cobra Jets, and 1969 - 1970 Boss 302 Eliminators. Identified by the use of 3 attaching bolts for the drive pulley, a white colored cooling fan, and a round pressure relief valve on the side of the pump. Later pumps do not have this pressure relief valve.
Current date: 7J231
Core grade, some rotate, some don't, all are rebuildable. Plan on replacing the fan, some are white, some are black. All include the correct elbow on the back.
