    Pros:
    • great replacement part
    Cons:
    • needs special riveter or welder
These are a great replacement part but I think most guys need to know these are not a direct fit part without the correct special tools for these types of rivets which can be very hard if not impossible to secure without it. In that case it would be easier to just buy a new regulator which comes with these already installed.
My passenger regulator was in good shape but needed new rollers. I do not have the correct riveter for these either so what I did to make it work was grind off the old roller rivet from the back side just enough to use a punch to free it from the regulator. I did find these new rivets to be a little loose in the hole that was already in the regulator so I cleaned up and reused the old pins which had to be slightly pressed into place. This gave me a nice solid pin that was aligned just like original. I then just tack welded the rivet in place where I ground it off. Ok so not concourse level but its inside the door which no one will ever see but me. The important part was I was able to keep an original regulator for the cost of 3 rollers and everything works as it should.

one of my window regulators was broken, and the other windows were also somewhat hard to roll up&down. i decided to replace the broken window regulator and prevent potential future damage of the others by replacing the rollers. (the replaced regulator came with new rollers.)

these plastic parts are somewhat prone to wear&tear&aging.

replacing these could be a reasonable preventative maintenance step (in addition to the otherwise necessary maintenance of the regulators), especially with somewhat "tired" window regulators (original cars, daily drivers, earlier restores).
