Hex head screw for attaching floor drain hole covers. Several different screws were used over the years and at different plants. All seem to be a #8 sheet metal screw of varying lengths. This is a #8 hex washer head tapping screw with 5/8" length. Two screws per drain cover, 2 or 4? per car, not sure. We also have the drain covers.

This screw / stud seems to always be missing. This screw is just a little longer than stock to accommodate installing the Hi-Po air cleaner. Fits most Autolite carburetors. These barrel nuts or clips are exactly like the original ones inserted into the trunk for attaching 1967-68 "Mercury" script, and 1971-72 Mercury Cougar "Mercury" Hood scripts.
