Put mine on this afternoon and still holding light covers down after 8 hrs, which is a big improvement over 15 minutes. Actuator looks at least on outside as good or better than one from 1970. With lifetime warranty, very good solution to a long term problem of leaking actuators.

I was tired of explaining why my cougar sounded like it had a tire going flat while the headlight covers slowly creeped up after the car had been shut down. I tried patching the accordion looking piece of rubber with a bike tube patch and while that delayed the inevitable the doors still popped open before I was ready to leave my favorite pub. The reburb actuator keeps the headlight cover down on my cat for about 5 days. I replaced nothing else on the vacuum system so to me this is a huge improvement. The actuator is easy to replace, less than an one beer project. You don't need to take off the bumper or anything crazy. The piece that goes from both headlight covers to the center actuator has pins that are easily removed, once they are out all you have left is the only actuator clamp and a couple of vacuum tubes. With a little bit of maneuvering the actuator can be removed without bashing the radiator. I have owned my 70 cougar since 1988 and I am glad I finally replaced this part that has been malfunctioning for decades.
