Nice upgrade. I changed mine out with the door handles. Glad I did. I know that the lock will work every time.
All went well. On the door locks I needed to put some grease on the clips to get them to slide in and set the cylinder.
Super easy to install on a 68.
very good repo now able to lock doors and not locked out anymore
looks good cant check fitment till I get home from middle east doing my thing
Door locks works fine. When i tried to do the ignition it wouldn't fit. Tried a little harder and the chrome piece that covers springs and pins came off. Lost a small spring now it's garbage. Put the old one back in and now it doesn't spring back when starting. Tried to take the old one apart to get a spring, doesn't come apart. They don't make thinks like they use to.
Good fit look amazing ignition Tumbler is a little stiff to work hopefully that will free up over time
Good replacement set, looks nice. The new clips that hold in the door lock cylinders had to much tension. With a total of 4 coats of paint and 4 coats of clear, the paint was heavier than factory and required flattening of the clips for installation. Although I was familiar with the replacement of ignition locks on the older Ford products, it would be nice to include a small instruction sheet to help out those who aren't.
The ignition lock works fines. The door locks work but the gasket lasted less than 6 months on both doors. Also, when you get extra keys made, they're too thick to fit in the door locks. They need to be filed down. I tried two different places for extra keys. This was a pain. The ignition duplicate keys work just fine. Somehow, the door locks are thinner than standard Ford keys and the keys need to be filed down to be a little thinner.
