Excellent quality with an original 60's heft and feel that the average aftermarket air cleaner doesn't have. It also has a removable plug for the breather hole underneath which was handy since I'm not using my closed emissions oil filler cap with this dress-up. I combined this with a set of Cougar finned valve covers and couldn't be happier

Poor packaging did not protect it.

The filter itself was crushed during shipping.

The rest was unharmed.

I just bought this to replace a cheesy auto parts store type air cleaner that was on my 351C (which is sitting in a 69 XR7 convertible, installed by a PO). It was a lot cheaper and also nicer looking than getting a factory correct air cleaner with all the necessary plumbing (which, again, was missing). I appreciated the included 427 sticker, but didn't use it, as my car in no way is claiming to be 427 equipped. I do wish, however, that instead of the sticker, they included a nice chrome wing nut.

I think there is a different style lid that was used for the 427. A similar lid with a double hump, instead of the flat top is arguably claimed as being correct.

Some have claimed other styles of lids (double hump) are correct.
