Easy to install and works perfect!
My lights functioned properly until I turned on the headlights.I had gotten an RV flasher in the past but it shortly after burned out. This flasher took care of all issues, very pleased.
I takes some time to install this part because of the location of the original flasher. I had to remove the radio in order to get good access. If this part had the same shape as the original flasher, it would be very easy to install. I removed the original clip, then used a metal strap, such as the kind supplied with after-market radios to support the radio. I bent it into an L shape and attached it to the location of the original bracket. I then slid the new flasher on it , so it's not just hanging behind the dash. One interesting note... the Cougar shop manual has the location of the emergency flasher and the sequential flasher reversed. It is on the right side of the radio as you look at it. Replacing both the flasher and the sequential circuit board allows my lights to work well under all conditions.
solved my flasher problems. Don diagnosed it over the phone and he nailed it' a little tricky to get to(on top of the glove box)
Great products, worked perfect, web site made it easy to find what I was looking for. Delivery tracking was very helpful. I will be shopping at WCCC again!
works great
Works great. My signals were not working at all. Installed this and they work great now.
worked as advertised
The only reason to order one of these is if yours has failed, which does happen. Or, in my case, the car I bought didn't have one. Not sure how it got lost or why it was removed, but I installed one of these to repair the sequential turn signals and brake lights. The only tough part about this part is trying to find a place to ground it. Solution I found was to remove the clip used to hold the original (it won't fit this part anyway), and ground using the original screw. The part is behind the dash and never seen, so "Correctness" doesn't matter. Go electronic: it saves many headaches.
Bought this mainly because the flasher in my car was so quiet I couldn't hear it. Turns out it was a crappy standard 552 flasher. This was easy to install and hide away behind the radio area. It's a major improvement over my old flasher in that I can actually hear this one (although I wish it was a bit louder), and now an appropriate amount of time is allowed for all three turn signal lights to cycle.
