Like the warning says, buy a good service replacement and use the cover

Although I did not buy this item here, I would like to reiterate the warning. This item is great for resto cars going for judging points, but should NEVER be used for a driver. Mine didn't charge period. EVER!!! Not intermittently. EVER! If you feel like getting stranded, then by all means use this regulator. TASCA actually sent me a replacement, that was as bad as the first, and finally just sent me a refund. Motorcraft still makes a service replacement, and it works great, is electronic and functions perfectly. And by the way, WCCC is the ONLY company that gives an accurate warning on what a POS these units are so kudos to them.
